Bringing vibrant new songs from their brand new album “Year of the Clown”, festival favourites 3 Daft Monkeys will be performing a brand new set of their quirky,
original and upbeat fiddle-driven tunes at the Barnsley Rock & Blues Venue on Saturday 6th May.

Now with a 4-piece line-up, the band will be taking their famously dynamic live show to new danceable heights.

After experiencing the band’s notoriously energetic live performance at Glastonbury, Mark Radcliffe declared them as one of his “Highlights of the Festival” on BBC TV,
and subsequently invited them to play a session on his BBC Radio 2 Folk Show.

With Celtic and eastern influences, Cornwall-based 3 Daft Monkeys’ style of world folk music reflects the global village in which we now live.
Their infectious dancing rhythms lead you through a musical journey of the senses and emotions, and will leave you breathless, enthralled and exhilarated.

Following a highly successful crowdfunding campaign, 3DM are releasing a brand new album.
The title track “Year of the Clown” is a social and whimsical comment on the ‘elected principles’ in the world circus, who appear to be the fools.

We don't usually plug bands we haven't seen, or even venues we haven't been to. What we do do is advertise the gigs and any classifieds bands may have, such as personnel, sales, wants, etc. We also advertise if there's a gig going, either requested by a venue where the band has let them down or when a band has given sufficient notice that they can't do it and are asking to fill the slot. If you join in with the threads and share the posts on FB, then people will start to ask you. Hope that helps.

Hi Diane , we have s gig date to fill in Sept 24 and I'm struggling. Could u please post that it's available for any bands interested. The night will be a mixed crowd but mainly 20 year olds as its a fundraiser for 3 lads who have been chosen for BARLA tour. The club would fund the band. Cheers Neil
